Fees for GP and nurse-led care

Doctors charges at West End Medical Centre

At West End Medical Centre, we are committed to providing high-quality healthcare with transparent and fair doctors charges. We participate in the Very Low Cost Access (VLCA) scheme, which helps eligible practices keep patient fees affordable. It allows us to offer low-cost healthcare to patients who need it most.

Our charges for doctors’ visits and nurse consultations are kept as accessible and affordable as possible while reflecting the care, expertise, and personalised service you and your whānau receive. For patients with a Community Services Card, reduced fees apply for eligible services.

Please allow over two working days for repeat prescriptions to be processed. For urgent prescriptions, we aim to have them ready within two working days.

Arriving early doesn’t always mean you’ll be seen ahead of schedule, as we may need to keep your allocated appointment time. If you arrive late, you may need to wait until the doctor can fit you in, which could be over an hour, or you may need to reschedule to another date.

Your doctor or nurse will only contact you if your lab results are unexpectedly abnormal. You can check your ManageMyHealth™ account or app to view your results at any time.

Transparent healthcare for you and your whānau, with support for Community Services Card holders and VLCA patients.
